This classic Samson double services natural trails without snowmaking.Bottom terminal inside a log cabin.View up after boarding. The first few towers.Tapered tower with added lifting frame. The profile of this lift is varied with multiple flat sections between pitches.Tall tower.Tower with a combo assembly on the heavy side.View down the lower half of the line.Nearing the summit.Another look down.Tower and foundation.Top terminal.Fixed bullwheel up top.The unloading ramp is below the top bullwheel.Lift line overview.Side view of a tapered tower. The lift line with natural snow.Upper half of the lift line.Loading area.Side view of the bottom terminal.
Sucks that this lift is getting removed, it was such a cool piece of history. And it’s replacement isn’t even going to be detachable, they really need more than 1 detachable at Orford.
Are you sure this is Poma. The sheaves do not look like Poma at all. I think it might be Samson.

It is a Samson with Poma towers. If you look under Samson in Remontees-Mecaniques.net, you will find it.

If anything about this lift is Poma, it is certainly not the towers.
