This S-Line platter services a neighborhood at the base of Andesite Mountain.Fixed return up top in the shadow of Lone Peak. The line is short with just three towers. Each tower features lights for night riding.Tower 1.Lift overview.Drive station. This may be the tallest surface lift tower in North America at 44 feet.Upper part of the lift with the return line much higher than the heavy side.
Bear Back operator here. As the other guy said it’s because of platter retraction timing. The majority of resorts that install (non carpet) surface lifts usually install it where the unload zone is before the bullwheel which allows for the line to be fully parallel
That’s one tall tower! Why did they make it 44 feet?

Because of the bullwheel unload, the platter needs time to retract and clearance to do so.

B.B operator here. For anyone wondering, the lights are because the race team does after hours practice
