The original Yan HSQ here had a vault drive, just out of the picture of the top terminal. The garage doors to enter the vault are still there. Current lift is overhead drive. First two and last two towers were replaced by CTEC, and the rest are Yan. There is no tower number 4 (it looks like numbers 3 and 5 were moved closer together during the retrofit, as they have CTEC-style footings). There is also no bottom operator shack, although the one for Silver Lake isn’t far away.
Yes, the original Yan did have footrests (as does every lift at DV). The backrests were the slatted kind instead of the padded ones (same on Prospector over at PCMR)
The first tower needed to be added in as the depression sheaves were integrated into the original Yan terminal. Assuming tower 2 needed to be replaced due to excavation or height or something in the replacement. The breakovers are also new for the same reason (old ones were integrated).
Me and my dad’s first lift at Deer Valley or the Snowflake Double. Can get packed but it doesn’t stop as frequently as the Silver Lake Express. Unique towers on this Dopplemayer Quad. Gotta replace it with a six or eight pack since this is one of the main lifts here.

If you don’t mind watching the movie Ski Patrol, there is one scene in the movie that features it.

Why are the first few towers not yan towers if the others are? Also why are these Yan towers?

Once the Snow Park village gets built, Carpenter is planned to be upgraded to a D-Line 6 pack with bubbles.

Seems like overkill for such a short but it is Deer Valley!

Between 1:00-1:20 of my Carpenter Video, there seems to be a Tower 4 missing (skipping from T3 to T5) so I guess that means there’s 23 towers (not 24)
