I know there has been talk before about putting a lift up in the Casper Bowl, but I think an interesting idea would be simply extending Casper to the top of the ridge, with its top terminal ending up around the top of the Sheridan Bowl.
That wouldn’t work because the lift services intermediate terrain and there would be none accessible if top terminal was on the ridge. It would make more sense to put a lift from the the end of Casper Traverse to the top of Shot 8.
True, but Casper’s pod has kind of been absorbed by Teton since its installation, as you can access the top of Casper from Teton and also ski down to Teton from the bottom of Casper. Extending it to the top of the Sheridan Bowl would give it a new, unique purpose. Plus, if they really wanted to retain some intermediate lap-ability, they could always make the existing top terminal a mid-station instead.
They could make it a mid station you’re correct but think about all the wind exposure up on the ridge. also if they were to make the existing top station into a mid station, think about how much extensive work they would have to do to in order to make the existing top station into a mid. Especially considering that the top is the drive. It would cost a lot of money too. Sorry for the 2 years late response lol
I agree that a mid-station would help, giving the ability for intermediate and advanced riders to take it and not have the advanced riders have to switch lifts.
