I am curious as to the history of this lift. I remember skiing here years ago (probably 1990s) and thought I remember it having Hall bail carriers rather than the center-pole carriers. The old Chair 4 I believe had the center-poles, so maybe they had these in storage, painted them blue, and swapped out the originals to match style with the rest of the area? Also, I’m pretty sure this is a relocation, since overhead photos show it was not installed in 1973 (a few trails and the lift line were not clear-cut yet) but was on the trail map in 1980.
Further research definitely shows the stats not matching with the 1971 or 1972 original installations (which may have been the same lift?), and since it was not installed by 1973, virtually confirms this is a relocation.
I can’t remember the last year that this terrain was actually open…its been a few years. With the new ownership of Wisconsin Resorts, they have put a bunch of new, and much needed snowmaking infrastructure on the main part of the hill. The Chair 9 /10 area had pretty minimal and old snowmaking. Too bad as this was some green tree-lined runs but small and low vertical.
