Why is this lift a HSQ if Alberta isn’t?

I think because Alberta was built like 10 years before the resort started building detachable lifts.

Where is this lift? I can’t find it on the trail map on the wolf creek website, but that also seems to be dated from the 2016/2017 season, which seems rather odd.

I think that’s because James Niehues is still painting a new one for them.

I find it funny that you have to take a blue trail (Orion’s Beltway / cat track?) down to access green runs. If I’m not mistaken, I do not know if Wolf Creek owns the Alberta lift. It was paid for by the former CEO of Clear Channel who wanted to build a base village of the lift and then Wolf Creek and him got into a conflict in regards to the size and the development went dormant. Wolf Creek may own it now or just leases it.

Would it be logical to replace Alberta with a HSQ yet?

No, because it serves mostly expert terrain. They could put in a mid-station though.
