    First lift I ever operated.

This lift replaced two (at least) rope tows that I spent an inordinate amount of time on as a young kid.

Did this lift ever have counterweight tensioning originally opposed to the current hydraulic setup? This lifts sister lives on at Big Sky as Cascade, a real estate lift and it was upgraded to hydraulic tension during the relocation.

No, this was hydraulic from the beginning.

Summer of ’00 while doing line work, Kenny (RIP) told me the line was too flat to need tensioning. I feel like that can’t be true, though.
