Those are Doppelmayr chairs and grips. Not Riblet, Not YAN.

The grips are possibly Doppelmayr. I’m sorry but that just isn’t true about the chairs, they are definitely Riblet.

Chairs are definitely a Riblet design, and according to what Peter said above, they either came from Breck or were custom made. The grips look like Yans, the wavyness between the grip itself and the hanger gives it away. Here’s another Yan fixed grip (from Chair 13, a Yan Double at Mammoth Mountain, CA) from the same time period for comparison: https://skiliftblog.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/img_3277.jpg

Yes. I was thinking about the tower cross arm and assembly install Pete did on that lift from Doppelmayr. The grip is Yan, the chair may be a Riblet design but they were purchased new from Superior tramway I believe ( Riblet Parts supplier). Sorry for the mis informed reply. I should’ve looked at the picture. Ive known that grip for 18 years now, I should recognize it anywhere.

This lift was originally known as Checkerboard until the late 1990s/early 2000s.

Here’s a picture of the lift when it was built. In the background you can see the return station for Packsaddle II.

When did Doppelmayr put tower heads on the towers? When it was built there were none.

The lifting frames on Discovery and A-51 were added in 2013.
