For sure. To be fair though, the European Doppelmayr and L/P fixed grip terminals that have even smaller covers than the Eco drive like the one that had a catastrophic failure in Georgia, make the Eco drive terminal look spacious in comparison, so I’m glad we don’t have those in North America.

What is the appeal of the Eco-drive? Is it actually better for the environment?

I think it was more a reference to being economical than anything environmental.

I would imagine that maintenance may be difficult as there is no enclosure

There are large walkways all around. Just open all the covers and plan terminal work around sunny days. That’s what we do on Pitchfork at Copper :)
