Just announced: Flathead will not be replaced just yet, but Ray’s will be removed and replaced with a new high speed lift following the old Mandan route.
One thing i noticed about the early ctec and thiokol chairlifts is the ctecs have square tubing in the bail of the chair. The bail of a thiokol chair is round.

For the 26-27 season they are replacing it with a Doppelmayr High-Speed Quad. That’s currently all I know about the replacement.

Nobody was ever on this lift when I was here. I wonder if they should sell it.

Honestly, this is my favorite lift in the state of Utah. The nostalgia is great and I love the 1970s lift aesthetic.

Many of the Thiokol’s used Ford auxiliaries. They were generally straight-6/I-6 gas engines.

They are Thiokol chairs. I can see the similarity though. Early CTEC also used this design.
