Opened in 1991, the High Lift is the only Doppelmayr-lineage lift at Crested Butte. The first part of the track.View down below the first offload.Second part of the line.View down from the summit.Top bullwheel beyond unload number two.Top unloading zone.Fixed return bullwheel.Bottom drive/tension unit.View up from the mid-station.
I think it’d be kinda practical if a low capacity double chairlift that began down in Paradise Bowl replaced the lower section of High Lift, and High Lift was cut back to start at its midway unload point, which would make it possible to still get to these areas even when Silver Queen goes down.

That could be a good idea, but I’m guessing that would attract people coming off of Paradise to get onto this lift.

It could be a double from top of paradise to top of high lift.

That would attract people coming off of Paradise who can’t ski the terrain. Don’t want any unwanted novices on headwall.
