Koala – Bear Valley, CA

This lift debuted one year after Reba Mountain first opened.
The loading section can be raised or lowered depending on snow loads.
Bottom station overview.
The top terminal sits on a point called Koala Rocks.
The line is relatively short.
Unload area with new ramp under construction.
Top bullwheel with tensioning by counterweight.
Like most ’60s Riblets on the west coast, the terminal is very tall to accommodate snow.

    The 2024 New Lifts list from this website says that Koala will be replaced by the quad from Taos, NM. That would be an awesome change for Bear Valley.
