There is no lift called “Midway”. The Willow Creek lift is located somewhat near Midway Express but serves a much broader area of the mountain and has been in place for decades, longer than the Midway Express lift. My understanding is that Midway Express was decommissioned due to substantial maintenance issues.
Why was the lift removed?

They Put in a longer new faster one basically a few hundred feet from it that is now called Midway instead of Midway express.

It is still there but looks exactly how these pics portray it, sad and falling apart with everything on the ground.
