The Ridge chair seems to have operated until 1998 when it was damaged by a storm and never repaired.

So cool. Neat to see the Tbar and original cut chair on Grouse at the end of part 4 too.

I assume it’s Mystery peak? Also, is the t-bar a Murray-Latta too, it looks familiar.

Yup, Murray Latta T-bar and Yup, original mystery chair. Here’s some pics of it later on in its life. Notice the new drive station, relocated tower 2 and that it swapped from clockwise to counter clockwise rotation. Also looks like they moved the station/ load point uphill. https://skiingbc.info/pages/photos2-24476

Nice to find another M-L t-bar, I thought they only built one.

Looks like the T-Bar was the original Peak lift (Video #4, 8:40). The lift line and the views from the top match the current Grouse peak topography. Cool find!

Totally. A few remaining T-bar towers are still up on the peak/ upper blazes and are now used as light towers

You’re right – the two top breakover tube towers are still there, along with the light towers from the old Mueller lattice towers of the Peak double that replaced this T-bar (which was then replaced by the Peak quad on a different alignment). I always assumed the tube towers were orphans from somewhere else repurposed for lights.

The Mueller portal tower at the top and the building where the drive was also still sit on the old alignment. There are also some old Towers from the Inferno and Blueberry lifts (along with the Blueberry drive building) scattered around and repurposed as light stands.

Actually, I think the Mueller lattice towers up there are from the “Inferno” chair, which was the only mueller on the mountain that I know of. It ran from the bottom of the current olympic chair to around the top of the Inferno and Chimney runs off of heavens sake (just off to the side of the peak run).

That’s separate to the old peak chair, from which you can still see some lattice towers running up the peak run. (And a portal lattice tower up top!) That one was a Habbegar lift, like Blueberry was.
