Waterman is certainty a history book. I have one of the original single grips, a homemade double chairlift grip made of Bronze and a vulcanized rubber model A rope tow wheel from there. Cool stuff. Think some of the guys from JPL in Pasadena were involved in the chairlift design.
Also remember Lynn and when he first sold the ski area to the Golf course guys. That was an adventure!
Anyone know if the new owners “Waterman100” group are still involved? I haven’t heard anything since the announcement back in August 2024. They announced back then the plan to add chair 4 in phase 2 which would be late 2025 (currently).

Sure, I have some pictures of the Mt Waterman original chair. It was operational in January of 1941

My first job in the ski industry was loading the original chair one at Waterman at 15 years old, spending Saturday nights at Newcombs Ranch.
