Can’t blame Colorado resorts for wanting to go local, with LPA having a factory in Grand Junction.. Buy local, support local.. That’s ok with me. LPA and Doppie do a great job and I am happy to support both.
It’s been years since I’ve been to Brian Head, but I still remember being one of the first on the old lift during a good snowstorm. That ride took about 45 minutes to the top. 30 minutes of it being stopped at the highest point with blowing snow. Fun times. This looks like a great improvement.

The colour schemes on this lift remind me of Steven’s Pass WA, except without the green. I’m not quite sure what I think about it.

Lifting frame 2 is from 2005 because it has the square reinforcements and it’s all dark and old. I wonder where that lifting frame came from.

Since this is a beginner detachable of sorts, how fast does it run? Nothing like a fresh lift!

Decently fast because it has about 8 second load intervals. Capacity needs to be kept up a bit but also easy enough for beginners.

I think Doppelmayr hardware looks so much better than the LPA stuff. Wish we had more dopp in Colorado!

It probably helps that the new lift has much shorter towers. Just look at how tall the older lift’s towers were.
And it’s more noticeable at the top, where the quad has a lower profile and a combi tower where there were once tall support towers.
