I’d love to see this get a similar upgrade to Heavens Gate, but I realize other chairs may be higher on the priority list. Like HG the safety bars foot rests don’t work for people over 6’….
I wonder if they could keep the top and bottom terminals and retrofit the tops of the towers and then space the chairs for a quad? I don’t feel it needs to be any faster or the terrain that it services might be to crowded.
Likely not. The bottom terminal looks built for the triple line gauge, and would be too narrow for quad chairs. Wider crossarms would mean every tower needs an engineering review and a pull test. The top terminal foundation may or may not be large enough for a line full of heavier chairs and the higher tension that comes with that.
The chairs and hangers just got a fresh coat of paint. I can’t tell if they’re going to reuse the seats and backrests, or replace them. The current ones are pretty beat.
