Paradise Express – Powder Mountain, UT

This lift services a massive terrain pod and replaced a long, slow CTEC quad.
The terminals are two tones of blue as part of Powder Mountain’s art program.

    Why is the backup generator at the top if its a bottom drive lift?

      The drive is at the top.

    Has anyone else other than Deer Valley put in painted (vs. galvanized) towers on a new installation in the last 15 years or so? These and the other new ones at Powder Mountain are the only ones I can think of.

    Feels so rare to see standard EJ carriers with traditional ski rests, were these carriers reused from somewhere?

      Powder Mountain decided not to order the puck ones, standard footrests are still an option, Lake Louise went with them for the new Pipestone lift.

    I think you made a mistake Peter. On the picture captioned “Tower 21”, it says on the tower that it is 17.
