This lift services a few private homes off of the Two Creeks area.Drive terminal at the bottom.Short lift line with 5 towers.Lower part of the track.Unloading area.Upper terminal overview.
What is the point of this lift? I found it on google maps and I don’t see a very good way to access it. Is it just for getting back to the select few houses it services?
This appears to be an official trail map of the Pines ski trails and lifts. If you’re trying to line it up with an ordinary map, north is down in this one so that uphill is up. Source: The HOA website.
I do see where you’re coming from but I don’t think that’s the case. I’m not sure about the exact dates but the ski school platters operated into the early 2000s and were likely removed when Village Express was installed. Both the Pines lifts are shown on lift installation surveys in 1997 under “Northwest” and “Southwest” and feature slightly newer models of terminals than the ski school lifts. Not sure what happened to either of the ski school lifts but I would assume they were too short for a relocation elsewhere.
What made me think that is that here it says the ski school platters were removed in 1997 and the pines platters were installed here. I think the terminals were reused and more towers were added.

It provides skiing to the entire Pines development, along with accessing the funicular seen in the second to last photo.

Technically, it’s an Inclined Elevator not a Funicular. There is only one cabin.😉

It is a private lift used to access The Pines subdivision where every home is ski-in ski-out.
