That chair spacing suggests an actual uphill capacity of 1,800 pph.

Some hooligans were up to no good with this lift recently :( fortunately sounds like no major damage. What is it with people messing with lifts in BC?! We don’t need another Sea2sky or Kimberley shutdown.

This lift appears to have aged fairly well, it also handles Apex’s crowds very well, the wait was never longer than a minute or two and was sometimes ski on. Though I can’t help but wonder what the future holds for this lift as it’s 32 years old and many lifts of this vintage are now being phased out and replaced. Perhaps a new UNI-G with AGA grips? I’m sure my counterparts around here wouldn’t mind either.

It all depends who Apexs main customer is…

… if it is families and casual skieers, they can extend this lifts life, since Stocks and the Tbar would access most beginner and intermediate runs.

… if it is dedicated skiiers, they may want to look at replacement since this lift is needed to service nearly all the expert runs.

At least they have the ability to choose, they are not completely down and out like Revy and Kimberley if theres a lengthy closure.
