Sierra – Ski Santa Fe, NM

This Riblet double serves as a reliever lift for the Super Chief quad and has a mid-station.
Because of the middle station, the lift is actually shown as two different lifts on the trail map.
View down from above the middle station.
The top terminal is below the ridgeline making this lift able to operate in high winds.
Breakover towers 18-20.
Looking down the line with bail-style carriers.
Top bullwheel and guideage.
The mid-station offload ramp.
Mid-station and upper lift line.
Drive terminal in the Santa Fe base area.
View up from the bottom terminal.
Another view of the drive-tension terminal.
Side view of the large station.
Funky counterweight setup.
Overview of the lower station.

The counterweight on this lift is similar to Snowbasin’s 2 stadeli’s becker and porky. Its in a shack in the terminal building. in the corner of the station. this lift just has the counterweight exposed altough this is a riblet

That was a standard Riblet setup on their mid-70s lifts.

The operator cabin is not original? CTEC maybe? I like the red return bull wheel

Speaking of the Sandia Peak Tramway, the red cabin from the 1986-2016 cabin replacements is currently sitting near Totemoff’s, along with a cew chairs from the original Red chair. It appears Ski Santa Fe really wanted Sandia’s tramway 😅

That carrier is removed so they could put the work carrier on line. You see it parked in the terminal😳

This lift doesn’t run that often. Occasionally on weekends and holidays. This lift will probably never run as much when Santa Fe Express opens up. It’s also a super slow lift with a 14 minute ride at 410fpm

Also, this lift was actually built for the 1975/76 season :)

I could see this lift’s top terminal being moved uphill, with the lift ending at the summit. I also could see a mid-load, just after the mid-unload. This lift needs chairs with the bar as well. It’s currently the only lift at Ski Santa Fe without bars. They need to remove some chairs off this lift, as it’s a 14 minute ride with no interruptions. It has 189 chairs and always has. It runs at about 375-385 FPM
