Looking down the line.Top drive terminal.Drive terminal and lift shack.Return terminal with hydraulic tensioning.Pedestal controls.Triple chair with Deasonbuilt bike racks. This lift was relocated from Bald Mountain at Sun Valley.Lower lift line.As of 2025 this lift received lifting frames and operates in a pulse configuration for the summer.Middle section of the lift line during bike operations.Tower 13.Every 7th winter chair has four additional chairs added around it for summer to create pulses. The lift slows when pulses reach each station. In between pulses, winter chair spacing remains but those chairs are not loaded.Lower end of the top terminal.Towers 14 through 19.Riding down the upper line.Tower 9.
My understanding is afternoons on weekends (maybe even Saturdays) only. There are clear ski trail markings, signs, and access gates that all indicate it runs at least some of the time for skiing.
I got to ride this lift today (02/11/23). Between jokes about the “chest deep powder” and “face shots of white stuff” (it was really thin cover!) the lifty told me that today was only the 2nd time in 2 years this lift had run for skiing!
From what I’ve heard that’s the plan eventually. Discovery ski corp owns all the land on that side of the mountain and has plans to build a new base area over there with condos, etc. They finished building a new road back into there a few years ago and exclusively run their mountain bike operations from the backside
I believe this is the former Exhibition lift from Sun Valley

It has to be. The only other removed Yan triple is Sunnyside and that was removed in 2014.

Seems like this lift only runs for the summer mountain bike season, anyone seen it operate during the winter?

they rarely ever have it open in winter but sometimes if there’s a lot of snow it might be open.

Sounds like some snow guns might be helpful there.

What speed does this run in the pulse configuration? That could be a really cool option for other bike parks as well that can’t afford detaches.
