This lift operates only about 10 days a year for the Iowa State Fair.Tall towers on the midway. The lift is operated by Skyfair, a subsidiary of its manufacturer. The return terminal. One of the loading areas.Hopkins sheaves.Flat lift line.Towers and chairs. The eastern end of the lift.Lift overview.Side view of the drive station.Tower 1.
More or less. The terminals here are different than most, and this one has some used parts in it, but otherwise, it is essentially the same Skylark lift.
How can I contact the operators of the Sky Glider at the Iowa State Fair 2026?
I was scammed twice by the attandants on this ride. When I purchased a round trip pass, I gave the attendant a $20 bill for a $10 ticket. I found it weird that when giving me change, she did not give me a $5 or a $10 bill but gave me $1 bills instead, during a distracting conversation. Shorted me $1. I had purchased a cup of cookies prior to the ride and wad told by the male attendant that I had to eat them before riding the ride, That was not possible to do so he said I would have to leave them. He took them and said he would save them for me in the control shed. I clarified which shed they would be in and how I was to get retrieve them. This attendant was very gruff, had sunglasses on and was very recognizable compared to the rest of the attendants.
When I returned on the ride, I got off and asked the same attendant to get my cup of cookies. He acted like I didn’t know what I was taking about. I talked to antother attendant and went to check in the shed/refrigerator. No cup of cookies to be found. I approached the original attandant that took the cup from me. He said I didn’t know what I was talking about. I called him a liar and asked for a supervisor and a young woman with multi colored hair aksed be to expalined the situation and then she searched the shed with not results. She asked me who promised to keep the cup for my return and I pointed to the original male attendant with sunglasses. He then yelled at me saying don’t point your finger at me! I said you are a liar and he made threatening advances to me. The female supervisor interviened and and proceeded to tell me that I assume all risks when riding the Sky Glider and there was nothing she could do.
Summary: this may seem like a minor issue being shorted $1 in change ( I guess the attandant had a $1 tip charge) and the $5 cup of cookies disappearing after I was promised they would be there. When you don’t hire the right people, this is what fair goers are subject to.
The chairs remind me of Lagoons in Utah.

I mean most skyride lifts are made by this company so they would be pretty much identical
