This lift was relocated from Sun Valley with Yan modifications to the original Hall equipment.Mix of Yan and Hall towers.View down the line.Top bullwheel and breakover.Unload ramp and operator house.Another view down the line.Yan drive-tension station.Lift overview.
I had a look at RGJ’s archives (article from 20 Oct 1993): “The triple-chair lift came from Sun Valley, Idaho, (…)”. It did not mention the lift name. I can only find the term Frenchman related to trout fishing at the Frenchman Reservoir. Do you know the exact date of the article?
One of the Hall triples ended up at Eldora, CO in 1992. Lengthwise, it would have to be the former Christmas lift and Seattle Ridge hadn’t been removed yet. This lift would have to be either River Run or Seattle Ridge. Since the length of this lift is shorter than both River Run and Seattle Ridge, it could be either one.
From what I’m seeing this was the former Seattle ridge which was removed in 1994 eldora got river run witch was removed 1992 and challenge at eldora was installed in 1992. With Christmas chair I have no idea it most likely sold somewhere but I don’t know we’re Christmas was removed 4 yeas before the next hall lift witch I would not see installed 4 years later but this is just my idea one what lift it would be
River Run doesn’t have enough length for Challenge unless some new towers were put in. There are some Yan towers on Challenge, but it doesn’t look like enough for River Run.
I believe this is the former Christmas Lift from Sun Valley.

No, it was actually the old Frenchman’s Lift.

It can’t be Frenchman’s since that was an expansion in 1994.

I hear what you are saying Mountaineer, but I based on Peter’s data sheet about moved lifts https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TN_VlnKNMtW8p0lB-9wxsg1R3I5uYuwsZMdAMoA-0B4/pubhtml?gid=132622484&single=true, and the article in the Reno Gazette-Journal when the lift was installed. It does not mean that I am correct though, since I am unfamiliar with the lift infrastructure at Sun Valley.

As it was a Hall triple, it can only be one of the following lifts removed prior to 1994: River Run, Christmas, Seattle Ridge (https://liftblog.com/sun-valley-bald-mountain-id/).

It’s a beautiful well maintained lift regardless.
