SkyLift – Gatlinburg SkyLift Park, TN

There has been a chairlift along this alignment since 1954 and this is the third iteration of it.
The lift line is relatively short but very steep.

    How slow does this lift run? I can imagine that it runs at near 250 ish FPM because of the close spacing and foot traffic.

      The design speed is 175.

    “Truly unique” is certainly one way to describe it!

    I just can’t stand painted chairs, everything else is OK.

    In the 9th picture, why are the seats removed on the chair to the left?

      They were removed to have the slats re-varnished.
