This is the one lift at Mt. Hood Meadows that runs in the summer months sometimes, for scenic purposes. I’ve actually downloaded on it after participating in a short marathon that went from the parking lot to the top of this lift. Grueling run.

Yep. Gore ordered Omega Chairs for Hudson to match Adirondack Express II and Burnt Ridge, which both have Omega Chairs.

it’s amazing how blinded people can be this lift accesses amazing terrain, but everyone goes to mhx, but that means no line here.

I think the old yellow top terminal (just a few hundred feet before the stadium one) was more practical, because there is a hike up to lady slipper bowl or boar’s head that you wouldn’t have to do if they kept the old terminal location, but on the flip side, the new terminal provides easy access to shooting star, so they both would be good.

Yellow’s unload area was around where tower 11 is on Stadium.

Does anyone know who made the replica Riblet-style bail chairs that Easy Rider and Yellow use/used?

Oh interesting, i believe the chairs were made after Riblet closed in 2003. I thought it was Superior Tramway.

If they were made after 2003, then it would have been Superior, yes. I don’t know when they were done. Checkerboard at Keystone was Riblet for sure, it was one of their last projects.

The thing that intrigues me is that the hanger design is slightly different than a true Riblet hanger, for example if you look at Homestead ar Cooper Spur (which has the very last Riblet ever made) it has a different hanger design.

Both designs are Riblet. The ones on Easy Rider are made from round pipe (easier to bend), whereas the ones on Copper Spur’s are square tube and were bent differently. differences in material only.

You would think I know a lot about Riblets given my name but in reality i have a lot of learning to do.

According to MHM maintenance staff, Stadium’s primary motor failed early in the 2023/24 season. It ran on its diesel backup for the remainder of that season.

This summer I believe they replaced the motor and this week the chairs are off for a splice. Not sure if a re-splice or a new haul rope, though.

Most likely a resplice. This lift isn’t old enough to warrant a new haul rope unless a catastrophic haul rope failure happened over the summer which we would have hear about from Peter. So my best guess is just a re-splice
