Tamarack – Kimberley, BC

This lift was relocated to Kimberley in 1997 from Lake Louise, where it was the original Larch chair.
It is a Mueller but with Riblet chairs and clips.

The evacuation drive is under a tarp while the electric motor and gearbox are hidden below the bullwheel.
Towers 1 and 2 are portals.

It most likely got it’s Riblet chairs when it was moved from Lake Louise to Kimberly. Riblet was still a company at the time and could have easily manufactured new chairs for the lift.

Why did they replace the Mueller chairs? I like the Riblet ones, but why. Were they damaged or unwanted by Kimberley?
