This lift feels like a mellower version of the Treeline Cirque: bottom segment is longer, then a mid-station with sharp turn and double-grooved bullwheel, and a short final climb to the upper return station.

Any ideas why this lift uses an Agamatic grip while Whiteface’s other lifts are DT’s? Are DT’s not manufactured anymore?

They may not be. Even if they were, perhaps Whiteface wanted to change up to the current standard.

Was a straight-line alignment a wind issue? I feel like a lot of Western resorts would send lifts over a ridge like that. Also wondering if a Supreme-style turning apparatus was considered. I guess no one has done it since Supreme.

I heard it was to minimize tree cutting rather than being a wind issue.

I like this new dark-blue color scheme for Whiteface even if it won’t match Face Lift. Impressed that they dropped the cash for a turn station on a detach. Should save loads of time coming over to the main mountain from Bear Den.

I feel like the only other lift to come to mind with a Uni-G angle station is the Blackcomb Gondola at Whistler Blackcomb.

The part between the mid and the top is shorter than the quads at Alpine Valley Wi
