Timber Bowl Express – Fernie, BC

This is one of the longest chairlifts I’ve ever ridden at nearly 9,000 feet.

The drive terminal is taller than most Leitner ones because it has such a large electric motor.

This lift is extremely long, and has multiple elevation increases/decreases. It is one of my favourite lifts to ride in Fernie, and the views it gives are spectacular.

I believe this is the longest high speed quad in Canada, and second longest chairlift in Canada behind only Burfield.

That’s correct. Timber Bowl Express is 2.63 Km, and Burfield is 2.93 Km. Both are very long chairlifts.

The views from the lift are spectacular! I do think the return terminal looks actually better than most, but the drive is soooo ugly!
