Some old lift footage in this video.

2:34 old Poma double chair that was replaced by Flying Mile

    2:38 Tremblant Express

2:50 Duncan Express in original white paint scheme

3:02 Summit Quad (TGV predecessor) and Tremblant Express, so this was actually taken in 1993 or before

4:25 Poma fixed quad at now abandoned Grey Rocks ski area. Not sure if/where it was relocated.

The Poma Quad at Grey Rocks definitely went somewhere. I’m not sure where it went though…

(Some footage of the Poma quad at 3:39)

Everything was sold at auction immediately and then the hotel burned down in 2014. Thought it went to Bromont, but their relocated Poma quad actually came from a different closed ski area.

Parts of the Riblet chairs can still be seen on the mountain though (4:18 in the video). The poma quad at Bromont came from Montjoye, which has re-opened with one t-bar and is now called Mont Hatley.

Montjoye bought the old quad before they closed, then Bromont bought Montjoye Poma quad with the old Gray Rocks one. They used parts from the two lifts to build the Versant des Épinettes quad, a longer lift which is going to be removed this summer and will go to Mont Rigaud in 2024.

There’s only staying tower bases from the old lifts. For a reason I don’t know, the old base station of the C Riblet double is remaining. I ask me what happened to the other quad.

So if I understand this correctly, Bromont bought both the Poma quads from Montjoye and Grey Rocks. The terminals for the Versant De Epinettes quad came from Montjoye, while the towers and chairs were a mix from both lifts. From RM.net, it appears the Grey Rocks quad that was not used for Versant De Epinettes has just been sitting in a lot. One can wonder if this lift can be used in a future way at Bromont (or another mountain), or will it continue to sit unused.

Here’s the link to the form with pictures of the disused Grey Rocks quad

I think you mixed up the length for TGV and Expo. They should be switched around.

When do you think the timber expansion will take place, and what lift will go there?

Timber is supposed to debut with a detachable quad in time for the 2022/23 season. I do hope that timeline stays as it is and is not pushed back, as Tremblant is really hurting this winter with the local restrictions and zero international visitors. Revenue is down over 50%.
