It’s a very out-of-the-way mountain, so the Purgatory Village express is all the uphill capacity Purgatory really needs. In the future, I could see this lift getting replaced with a Skytrac quad or triple, but not a HSQ.
How many pre-1984 (or was it some other year that Riblet changed its designs?) Riblets have safety bars?

It’s probably time to upgrade this to a high speed quad. Kind of crazy that they still have a Riblet running here considering it is out of base.

Hasn’t been officially announced yet. But, it appears that Purgatory plans to replace this lift with a Gondola in Summer of 2028.

Not from what I’ve heard. I just talked to a supervisor down there and she hasn’t heard anything like that. It’s not even in their master plan.
