This Poma Alpha quad became the sixth new chairlift in six years for Bromont in 2011.The equipment came used from Montjoye.Lift overview.Leaving the bottom station.View up at tower 7.Nearing the summit. This is one of the longer lifts at Bromont despite being fixed grip.Middle part of the line.View up after the first pitch.Lower part of the lift.
I rarely come to Donald’s defense but in this case the Poma Alpha lower terminal on Versant des Épinettes may look visually odd because parts of it are painted blue while the yellow parts may look like some kind of after thought add on, even though the terminal was probably engineered all at one time. Pretty sure that if all of it was one color, the visual oddity would probably blend in.
I actually love those old colors they are so unique and different looking than other places. It fits well in an area with very little color to begin with.
Why do all of Bromont’s lifts look like preschool toys? Seriously that color scheme is pretty awful.

They are actually in the process of retiring this paint scheme in favor of a nice dark gray. The previous identity was certainly unique.

Gray, dark green, black, silver, all boring. This is what chairs should be like. I miss the 80s and 90s Bachelor/Stevens colours.

Note the lift has different colors.

The bottom terminal looks like a Poma drive crossed with a Riblet drive.

Looks like a standard Poma Alpha from the 80s to me.

This chairlift has finished its work at Bromont. He’s going to live his thirth life at Mont Rigaud.
We can see the demolition that is already starting and the construction of the new Express Des Épinettes with the webcam :
