Four years later but anyway. No, they don’t need to rig the rope and pull it off. If you look closely you can see the end of the old liner just before it would rotate under the rope. They pulled out as much as they could, now they would be putting the new liner in.
This is a pretty rare drive I ride this lift all the time it’s a pretty fun one it’s pretty cool it’s has a galaxy ll drive I think it’s the only one in the north east
I’ve been working on a PowerPoint to classify every Doppelmayr, CTEC, Garaventa fixed grip drive terminal, and am hoping to finish it up soon. I thought it would be a quick fun project, but turns out Dopp, CTEC, GRVTA fixed grip drive terminals since the 70s come in almost as many variations as Jelly Belly’s, so its taken a lot longer than expected. I’ll share it once im done
Having a single lift that runs to the top was a huge improvement. But it should have at least a carpet load because it is a slow lift. I know that they wanted to save cost by not making it a high speed lift, but it is a long ride. Just my opinion.
Especially during biking season when they are already running the lift slower, plus stops for tourists and senic rides. Sometimes it can get up to 20 minutes.
I’m hoping the dangling bullwheel liner is on purpose and the mechanics just haven’t got the rigging set to pull the rope off?

The Model is called a Galaxy II, and I’ve seen at least three on liftblog so far, I forget on which mountains though. They are rare though
