Bottom vault drive.Bottom station.Riding up.Looking back towards the bottom.Top tension station past the unload area.Unload area.Looking down the line.Last section of the line.
I rode this one on Saturday, and it had all sorts of issues. I’ve noticed they don’t run it as much as they used to anymore too. Wondering if that’s part of why they’re so hasty on replacing it.
Brook’s was built in 1968. I remember my first day at Steven’s pass that season and I looked up and saw a new lift to the right of what is now Skyline (back then it was an old creaky double). I think after 50 years of service it’s time for a new one.
I remember the old wooden towers on Barrier too. Brooks was downright modern in comparison (although it was already 14-15 years old when I first rode it)
Do you remember the mid-station on “Big Chair?” in my years skiing Stevens (67-73) I remember it being open only a couple of times. And I recall a rope tow to skiers right of that. about the same location – it ran along Brooks lift line before Brooks was built. I never saw that one running. It must have been one of the 47 ropes (!) Stevens had before they moved on to chairlifts.

I don’t. I vaguely recall a spot where the rope dipped lower than normal, but I don’t remember a midstation.
