The last pic is the bottom station not the top

Nope, it’s from the top looking down. There aren’t any tall hotels down at the base, just a parking lot, the welcome center and 7-11.

What I am observing about Stealth III terminals is this.

A handful of terminal backs are roughly the same as Stealth II terminal backs. They are: Quincy Express
    Ruby Express
    Mt Rosebrook
    West Mountain
The rest of them have only straight backs

If you are confused, go to Cabriolet at Park City and Ruby Express at Deer Valley for example to compare the difference of the terminal backs.

I’ve always referred to Mt. Rosebrook Style as the Stealth III (Alternate). I believe that that skin was the alternate terminal skin, whereas the one seen on PC’s Cabriolet and Baldy at Snowbird are the standard Stealth IIIs. I could be wrong.

The different therminal contour designs (backs) are based on line gage the straight back like PC Cabriolet, Alta’s Collins are wide enough for a six, some resorts opted to to have their quads built on the wider gage for swing clearance and future upgrade reasons.

Does anyone know why this lift has skytrac controls? You can see their logo at the bottom station on the control panel.

Skytrac does a ton of support for CTEC and Garaventa CTEC lifts, I would guess that the lift was due for an electrical upgrade as its a late 90s detach.

What other cabriolets are there in North America. I know of: this one, Village Cabriolet (Winter Park, CO), and Cabriolet at Tremblant, QC. Any others I missed?

Mountain Creek and Panorama each have one. Intrawest was a fan of them.

Seems more traffic is being pushed to this lift and it is becoming a pinch point. Is it up to the task?

Does anybody have info on these CTEC grips? I would expect a lift of this vintage to have the classic CTEC spring pack grip (unsure of the model) or possibly a DT-108. This lift (and many others such as the CTECs at Beaver Creek) appear to have a grip that looks more similar to a modern A108.

I think it’s a first gen Agmatic grip, the current model is the second generation.

I believe these are AK-460s, very similar to the Agamatic grips.

These are Agmatics. The AK-460s have the springs mounted backwards, so to speak, from these.

These are AK-460s. The ones you are referring to are the AK-680/681.

A good way of telling the difference between an Agmatic and an AK-400/460 is the angle of the springs (Agmatic is less steep) and if you can see the lever part of the mobile jaw (it is hidden behind the springs on the Agmatic when looking down the line, unlike these)

Good to know. I work on a lift with Agmatic grips (A104C in Doppelmayr nomenclature) and these look very similar at first glance.

That one and K lift only have the newer gen Agmatic grips though?

        • Tijsen's avatar Tijsen June 3, 2025 / 4:26 pm

A104C is just the model name of the standard Agamatic grips on quads (A for Agamatic, 1 for single jaw, 04 for up to 4 passengers, and the C is kinda irrelevant but it may have been added to signify chair).
