This is one of only a few up and over lifts in the midwest with loading at both ends and unloading in the middle. The top of the lodge side.View down the backside.Frontside.View leaving the drive station.Tower 2 which is really the 3rd tower.Unloading ramps have tunnels underneath them for skiers to cross the lift line. The part of the lift no one rides.View down the main face.Return terminal along the backside.Side view of the summit.Back lift line.Unique Borvig return terminal.Towers 5, 6 and 7.

Are Up-and-over lifts strictly a Midwest thing? I know there are some in WI as well at Little Switzerland and Whitecap, but how common are they across the country?
While not around anymore, don’t forget the Dinosaur at Hyak. The tension return terminal was still in Hidden Valley as of the 2021/22 season. Not sure if it will be removed with the new Hidden Valley triple going in.

There were/are a few in Europe, too. Including at least one up and over T-Bar.
