Some activity between the Avalanche and Tyrol lifts (ancient fixed 3-seaters) at 7Springs. Avalanche partially dis-assembled. Many trees cleared at the top. Construction trailer reads “Doppelmayr”. I’ve got a few pictures…
I think some of the data for the North Face lift is incorrect. It says the vertical rise 374 but it has a very similar vertical to Giant Steps and Gunnar, which can be seen on the trail map. Therefore length and ride time should be much longer. The lift normally takes 8-10 mins to ride.
I wonder what Vail will do to this place now that they own it. I feel like North Face lift has to be made detachable soon enough. And Tyrol and Giant Steps lift will probably receive Safety Bars. I don’t know what else they’ll do, I guess we’ll see
