I wonder what Ontario ski area purchased Val Neigettes quad?

No major Ontario ski resort I know of is looking to replace a lift, except for Horseshoe, though it seems likely that they’ll buy a new L-P.
There are a lot of old BML/Leitner fixed-grips still around, but they’re not old enough to warrant replacement with an almost equally-old Doppelmayr.

Possible, likely even, but most of these clubs have fairly recent (1990+) lifts, no capacity problems, and there seem to be no terrain expansions this season. Certainly interested to find out where this lift’s going.

Horseshoe told me the following: “We are in the process of investigating replacing Chair 6 over the next two years.” The parent company, Skyline Development, partnered with Leitner-Poma on multiple projects recently so a used Doppelmayr seems unlikely.

Speculation only, but it would not surprise me to see the Val Neigettes Dopplemayr Quad end up at Mount Baldy Ski Area in Thunder Bay. Mount Baldy has new owners as of late 2016, and currently has an ancient Riblet double that dates to the early 60’s or before. Will wait and see.where the Val Neigettes quad ends up.

I am a little surprised the Norway lift is going away. I always loved that lift. Plus I think it is in so much of a better spot than Lenawee. Such easy access off Black Mtn Express. I am going to miss it. :(
