I’ve posed this question before on this site, but the answers I got left me unsatisfied. Here once again: How does the world’s steepest cableway at Schilthorn “hang onto” the haul rope strongly enough to avoid slippage given such a steep angle of transport? I presume it’s connection to the haul rope is akin to elevator cabling? Informed responses welcomed!
