      are you on the right lift? this appears to be a double

        Mt. Hood Meadows replaced Buttercup with a SkyTrac quad for the 2017-18 season, the lift in these pictures is the old Buttercup double that was removed last summer.

      Yes. They needed a quad. On busy days the lines for the lift could get quite long (which is exactly what you don’t want on a beginner lift if you want to get people excited about skiing).

        Both because of beginners and also for those needing the lift to get up to Vista.

    it was sad to see the lift i learned to ski on get eviscerated by a metal claw
