Do you remember your first gondola ride? June 30th, 2020 will mark 30 years since the gondola opened to the public! This amazing feat was accomplished by the Gondola Board, who secured a $6.4 million Congressional grant to get construction underway. Breaking out the big guns today! 💪 Here we’ve got the heaviest pick of the chairlift installation, the lower terminal drive wheel assembly. This brute weighs in at 17,000 pounds and will be the main driving force getting future skiers up to 1750ft. ⛷🏔❄️
