Both destination and day skiers will gain a new option to access Deer Valley Resort next winter with the addition of a Doppelmayr bubble chairlift. The yet-to-be-named six pack will connect the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley in the new East Village to a knob above the existing Sultan Express and Mayflower lifts. The 5,800 foot long bubble lift will service both the slopeside hotel and 500 new day skier parking spaces at opening. After riding 1,240 vertical feet on the D-Line bubble chair, guests can access the rest of Deer Valley via Sultan without needing to park at Snow Park Village.
Known for now as Lift 3, the Doppelmayr six place will be the first of nine lifts to open as part of Expanded Excellence phase one. This bubble chair is distinct from Lift 7, another bubble six place under consideration by the Park City Planning Commission tomorrow evening. Lift 3 and perhaps a couple small access lifts will be completed by December 2024 with Lift 7 with the rest of the 2,900 acre phase one expansion opening for the 2025-26 season.

This is incredible, let’s hope the Park City planning commission approves of the other bubble six-pack and real estate lift that are also supposed to be built this summer.

The PC Planning Commission doesn’t have jurisdiction over the lifts starting down at East Village – it’s outside of town boundaries. Only reason they are involved in Lift 7 is b/c it’s on the Summit County side of the county line and within PC municipal boundaries.

The one that starts at East Village and lands right under the icons for ski patrol and food/beverage with the words “Base of Sultan Lift” right over it.

Will it be possible to ski down to the East Village base in 24-25 or will you need to take Lift 3 back down the hill?

Considering you can’t ski to the top of the new Lift 3, there will have to be a ski out. This is why the little fixed grip 4A may also be built this summer. I could also see Lift 2, the beginner lift in front of the hotel, going in. Any lift completed this summer is one less that they have to complete next summer. Right now next summer looks like two gondola sections, the huge Lift 6 six pack with mid-station and 3 high speed quads. Busy busy.

I would like to know that too, I rented a mayflower lakeside townhome for the majority of next ski season, and I know that lift 3 could be spinning, and i would like to know if I can ski down to the parking lot or I would have to download the lift

This is by no means official but I believe the answer is yes. Lift 2, Lift 3 and Lift 4A are all being constructed this summer in anticipation of East Village ski terrain opening in 24-25.
