I wonder if Vail’s going to get a new trail map since the VistaMap they’ve been using since Blue Sky Basin was added in 2000 might not be able to properly show the new Golden Peak expansion.

Hopefully, Vail gets a nice James Niehues map. VistaMaps are just not the same.

Wasn’t or isn’t KSL a majority owner of Alterra? Why wouldn’t they wrap camelback into Alterra?

KSL is one of the owners of Alterra. The new company at Camelback is officially called KSL Camelback Management, LLC.

Are you planning to get pictures of camelbacks lifts at somepoint in the future?

The Snow King article linked says Cougar lift has a 12-minute ride time. Your lift database says 5 minutes (which seems much more reasonable). Any idea why they’re running it so slow? Or why they’d want to remove it entirely rather than fix whatever the issue is that’s making it go so slow?

Cougar lift is used for their night skiing. If they remove the lift they’d have to add lighting from the summit lift or do without.

Does anybody know why the linked video of the Doppelmayr chondola carry NipponCable branding rather than Doppelmayr? I noticed that components inside the terminal still have Doppelmayr branding, however the chairs and terminals both say NipponCable instead.
