By 2034, I imagine that the lifts Snowbasin received for the 2002 games will be due for replacement (Allen Peak Tram, John Paul, Needles and Strawberry). I say that if we’re to assume that Snowbasin hosts the Downhill events once more.

Snowbasin is posting on social media that they are hosting. Needles, JP, and the tram are visible from the courses.

I know Becker’s on the upgrade list for 2025. So Porky probably follows a few years after that, then John Paul, Needles, and the tram by 2032.

Couldn’t they do what park city did with the red pine gondola and repalce the Gondola cabins? I belive that red pine gondola was built in 1997, while the snowbasin lifts were built in 1998. I guess we will see.

It will be interesting to see if they replace the “beer can tram” with a new modern-looking one. Maybe now Park City will get some new lifts approved as well.

I drifted through Idaho Springs today, and there were a lot of cool developments happening there. I didn’t see much of the ceremony, but I took a look at the cabin and talked to some of the people there – everyone seemed very happy that its finally going in.
It’s great that another town in Colorado has a scenic gondola for guests to enjoy!

Is that video a new Leitner terminal design? Kind of like what Doppelmayr is doing with their new D Line terminals?
