The whole Vail trying to improve its guest service reads like a joke, “butcher blend burgers on a brioche bun” and concierge private ski lessons will only go so far. What Vail needs to be doing is investing in infrastructure such as new lifts and managing skier flow as those two things will impact the skier experience 100x more than whatever they are proposing in their new plan.

In my opinion, Alterra and other companies are doing just as poorly. They just don’t have as much reputational damage control to do.
