I like nothing more than punching the lights out of loud mouth idiots like that jackass who was recording/narrating that video.

Especially because they really have no idea what they’re talking about.

The Video shows two carriers exiting super close together. The lift definitely malfunctioned. Sounded like a lift mechanic told him something about a spacing clutch problem which makes sense.
I think he did a pretty good job documenting the incident. Stuck on a new lift for an hour is not the way to market your new lift. SO not to sure what you guys don’t like about the video??

@kirk; What purpose does the clutch serve on the lift? I’ve never heard it in skilifts before. I would assume it has to do with the acceleration and deceleration because of the spacing problems in the video.

Yeah, he has no idea.

Having a gondola up to an old fort is crazy and briliant. Haha :)

wouldn’t meadow mountain in Minturn also count as a lost ski area under Vail? They bought and shut it down for a deal with the USFS in exchange for more land upvalley.

I think the Aspen-Snowmass interconnect. I think LP will do that.

LP only has the 2S system, TRI-Line is a Doppelmayr product only.

Did SCJ Alliance actually use that crazy font (some kind of silly script), or was that my system making that mistake?

so, broadmore as a feeder for vail. foreshadowing for the purchase of peak resorts and their marginal midwestern offerings. To their credit, vail blows plenty of snow at Hidden Valley. But they also don’t make the lift changes needed to allow it to serve its beginner base better. And Paoli needs even greater investment to be anything more than a lure to sell passes.
