- Mt. Southington, Connecticut to replace Stardust‘s return terminal this fall, followed by the drive terminal and towers in future years.
- Nederland, Colorado provides an update on the stalled Eldora acquisition.
- Alterra names an outsider as CEO.
- An update on Eagle Point fire recovery.
- Berkshire East secures a $4.5 million grant for battery storage technology.
- Snowmass to use batteries as a backup system on the Elk Camp Express.
- A lawsuit filed by someone who fell from a lift at Willamette Pass, Oregon is thrown out.

I expect alterra’s naming of a hospitality exec as CEO to end the same as Vail’s trying to make a marketing person (lynch) a CEO in an insular industry like skiing. Failure, firing and a big payout. I wonder which recruiter sold this?

For anyone who wants to see the Patrullarve construction progress, here is a panoramic webcam stationed at the base of the Rothorn tram. It shows the upper station and the last few towers; the new upper station is lower than the old top terminal building: https://zbag.roundshot.com/blauherd/#/

Question; Are there any funiculars with a magic carpet next to it?
I love modern funiculars like the ones in Zermatt or Val d’Isere, but there is the issue of going up lots of stairs in ski boots carrying ones skiis.
One option would be having a slow magic carpet next to the stairs. One could go up the carpet and get off in front of the right available door.
Has anyone done this?
