Now by closed early for the season for Heather dear at the Highlands, did they mean closed early for the summer/fall season, or are we talking the upcoming ski season? The link to the Instagram post does not appear valid.

The gondola for Eaglecrest appears to have a very low hourly capacity. If the goal is to get cruise ship passengers up the hill in summer and skiers in winter, I’m not sure a max capacity of what appears to be around 750 people per hour is going to cut it. Maybe my math is wrong – the article said 45 people could load every 3 1/2 minutes.
If you have ten bus loads of cruise ship guests show up at 10 am for a scenic ride, there are going to be a lot of people waiting a long time to get up the hill. And I’m not sure they will like the gondola slowing down several times on the journey as it loads other groups either.
I’m sort of surprised a pulse gondola was chosen to begin with instead of a traditional chairlift or gondola.
