I’m a huge fan of Sunlight’s new master plan. That ski area is such a hidden gem, with its lift network being its only weak spot. Upgrading its ancient lifts and adding an East Ridge lift will make Sunlight not just good but great in my opinion.

I also am in full agreement with that master plan for Sunlight. The proposed Grizzly lift will provide some great opportunties for longer runs for advanced beginner and intermediate level skiers without the need to return to the base and I have always thought it would be great to have lift service in the east ridge area even if it is a T Bar or similar eliminating the current hike-out. Sunlight is a great mid size mountain and nice to see them planning for improvements.

kind of odd they have a massive, largely undeveloped SUP boundary, and yet the additions are mostly on private land (with rather short lifts).

Weird that the IKON article only mentions Crystal opening a yurt but doesn’t reference the new Mountain Commons opening. Is it delayed? The Reimagine Crystal website still references Fall 2023 opening.
Thank goodness RFID is returning…

I was wondering about that. Interestingly most of the “Reimagine Crystal” information seems to have been removed from their website, including the detail pages about Mountain Commons and the other improvements.
Honestly Crystal’s lack of clear communications (in general, including about operations last winter) has become a real problem.

Love seeing “lost areas” gain new life. Granite Gorge, Deer Mountain (private), Cuchara, Paul Bunyan, Deepwood (Woodwind Park?), Norway Mountain, Thrill Hills, Farr’s Hill, Kingvale and now Denton, all reopened or in the process.

Add Adventure Mountain and Steeplechase.
