Sir Sam’s website also mentions they are selling chairs from the Eagle View chairlift.

Did Cannon use AI on the updated trail map to remove the Tram? Lots of nonsensical artifacts if you compare the new to the old. Almost all of the cars, and some of the buildings are deleted, among some other oddities.

I agree, it does look a little off putting…..

It looks like someone took a white brush in photoshop and just started painting over the base lodge. I have no clue as to why they would do that, as all the buildings are still standing. I’m sure somebody who works there could clarify.

The Boone’s Ridge gondola project sounds rather interesting. Just happened to check the 2026 New Lifts page and it appears that we might get the first MND gondola in North America. The rendering on the website leaves a lot for interpretation and it is probably too early to draw conclusions but it appears that the lift is using a Felix Wopfner grip with an Orizon line cabin. As far as I was aware, the Wopfner grip was used due to their former partnership with Bartholet rather than MND actually having the rights to distribute that model? Either way, interested in following this project and hopefully we can eventually see a third player in the North American lift market!

Whitecap has been on life support for many years, I hope they can keep going but the place is so far behind in needed improvements. With all the lift issues, the lodge fire, and not enough snowmaking power for the recent winters, they haven’t been able to catch a break.
